Due to many taxi scams in Saigon, it is highly recommended to buy internet data for your phone on your arrival to Saigon and install Uber or Grab car/motorbike to get around the city. It is easy and cheap and the receipt of the trip is sent directly to your email for your record. The exact rate is shown upfront and you know exactly how much to pay.  However, if you prefer standard taxi, there are 2 most reliable taxi companies which could be considered are Vinasun and Mai Linh. Please do bear in mind that  there is still small risk of being cheated by  drivers, so make sure to keep your eyes on meters clock on the taxi.  Motorbike taxi is also available throughout the city and price should always be negotiated before accepting the ride.
